Research by Oxford University to develop a vaccine for Ebola was praised in the Commons by Oxford West and Abingdon MP Nicola Blackwood.
She said at Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday: “As the Oxford Vaccine Group moves to the next stage of its Ebola trial, will the Prime Minister congratulate it on its outstanding work so far and offer all possible support in the race to develop this vital vaccine?”
PM and Witney MP David Cameron said a vaccine was “vital” and the Government was doing “everything to cut through some of the bureaucracy that would otherwise be in place, so that we can develop a vaccine”.
