A PUPPY stolen in October has been reunited with its owners.
Lila, a rare lilac British Bulldog puppy worth £16,000, was stolen from her home in Tadworth, Surrey on October 17.
Thames Valley Police found Lila yesterday at 9.15pm at a Grove address after receiving reports the dog was there.
Officers also arrested a 29-year-old woman on suspicion of handling stolen goods, on behalf of Surrey Police.
She has been released on bail until a later date.
The puppy’s owners were later reunited with their pet after collecting her from Wantage police station.
Chief Inspector Mark Harling said: “We’ve been working closely with the Surrey Police to ascertain the whereabouts of this rare, lilac puppy. Following intelligence we attended an address in Grove and a puppy matching the missing animal’s description was discovered.
“We were pleased to assist Surrey Police with their investigation, and delighted that the puppy has been reunited with her owner.
“As a dog lover myself, I know it will mean the world to the owners that she’s been found safe and well. It was a particularly rewarding incident to be involved with.”
Five Oxford men arrested in connection with the case, on suspsicion of conspiracy to commit robbery, have been bailed until February 19 and 20.
