A FLOOD warning is no longer in place for Ginge Brook, between Steventon and Sutton Courtneay, including the Milton and Drayton areas.

The Environment Agency has lifted the warning, which means flooding is expected and immediate action is required, as river levels have started to fall following rainfall overnight.

It said properties are no longer at risk of flooding but water levels “remain sensitive to further rainfall”.

But flood alerts - a less severe warning meaning flooding is possible - covering areas across the county still remain in place, including an alert for the Ginge Brook area.

Showery downpours are also expected to hit the county this afternoon.

The Met Office has said Oxfordshire could see heavy showers today, with light rain expected until 8pm tonight.

Currently the Met Office has not issued any weather warnings for Oxfordshire.
