FIVE men have been arrested in Southmoor, near Abingdon, on suspicion of Hunting Act offences.
Police said they received a report on Friday of people in a vehicle believed to be involved in harecoursing, where people bet on dogs chasing rabbits.
When officers arrived people and dogs ran away across fields towards Hanney.
A 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of daytime trespassing in pursuit of game, along with two 24-year-olds, a 26-year old and a 58-year old.
The men are all from Pontypool in Gwent. All five have been bailed until February 9.
