THE landscape in Little Wittenham, South Oxfordshire, got a makeover as new hedges were laid as part of an Earth Trust scheme.
Sunday’s session saw people learn how to lay hedges using traditional methods.
The trust held the event as part of efforts to promote nature and the countryside.
Graphic designer Greg Cletheroe, from Chilton, took part for the second time after finding he enjoyed the hands-on nature of other Earth Trust events.
The 32-year-old said: “I came to hedge- laying sort of by accident.
“I just fell into it because it seemed like something that was quite interesting.
“Getting outside and doing something with my hands was something that appealed to me.”
Mr Cletheroe and his hedge-laying partner Charlie Dormer, 26, managed to lay about two metres of hedge.
The next hedge laying event at the Earth Trust centre is on Saturday. For information call 01865 407792.
