FOUR-year-old Gwendolin Kelava learnt how ancient Greek and Roman religion was a multi-coloured affair at the Ashmolean Museum on Saturday.
The North Oxford youngster went along to a workshop Gods in Colour with mother Gordana Kelava.
In the hour-long session, museum staff showed how Roman statues and temples were once painted in bright colours rather than the white marble visitors are used to.
The children got to draw their own colourful statues, temples and gods.
Mrs Kelava, 37, said: “We thought it was lovely. It was really, really good.
“Gwendolin was fascinated and we had to go and look up Greek temples afterwards.”
