A decision on whether Campsfield House immigration centre will be extended has been delayed.
The Home Office and Ministry of Justice want to expand the 276-bed Langford Lane centre by 290 beds.
Cherwell District Council’s planning committee was due to decide on the application on Thursday, January 22.
The decision has now been postponed until Thursday, February 19.
In an email to councillors, planning officer Paul Ihringer said the delay was to allow the applicants more time to resolve objections.
