Nearly a quarter of people attending accident and emergency had to wait more than four hours to be dealt with in the first week of 2015.
Of 2,352 county A&E attendances in the week up to January 4, 557 patients had to wait more than four hours from arrival to admission, transfer or discharge.
That means 76.3 per cent at Oxford’s John Radcliffe and Banbury’s Horton hospitals had to wait less than that time.
