The Met Office have issued a severe weather warning across the UK that a band of low pressure will lead to heavy winds and rainfall.
Spokesman Jonathon Hunter said: “The severe weather warning will be in place for Oxfordshire until 11.50pm on Thursday.
“There is the possibility of gusts that could reach between 50 and 60 mph.
“We’re also warning that any areas that have received snowfall may be at risk of localised flooding.”

Drivers should allow extra time for their journey and look out for standing water.
The Met Office has warned of the high winds building tonight, with gusts getting up more than 50mph.
It said the public should be aware of “the risk of localised disruption to transport and possibly power supplies.”
