TEN youngsters spent a night camping in St Leonard’s Church tower in 1984. Their sponsored all-night vigil raised money for the church’s £180,000 restoration appeal.
HUGH Sweeney, left, was a regular winner in the village social and sports club snooker finals, and he did it again in 1985, beating newcomer Martin Ford.
