A DRIVER is in serious condition in hospital after a crash on the M40 yesterday, police said.
A white Scania lorry with blue curtained sides and a white Mercedes lorry collided on the M40 southbound between Junctions 5 and 6, near Lewknor, at about 3.15pm.
The driver of the Scania was injured and taken by ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital, while the Mercedes driver was uninjured.
Lane one of three was closed from 3.15pm but was reopened just before 5pm.
Pc Paul Thomas said: “If you saw either vehicle before the collision, or witnessed the collision itself then please contact police immediately via 101.”
