Drank too much over Christmas? Spent too much? Giving up drinking as your New Year’s resolution? Cheer up – it might never happen! There’s always time for a soothing glass of wine.
But not expensive wine – we do understand that you’ve spent too much. Why? Because so have we and we’re on a budget. So here’s a case of good value wines that won’t break the bank to help you on your way…
The New Year's mixed case, which is priced at £66 (normal price £78.09), includes three bottles of each of the following four wines:
Bellavini Garganega/Pinot Grigio 2013, Italy
Crisp, easy going and refreshing citrus style from the Veneto – the home of Pinot Grigio.
Pierre & Papa Blanc 2013, France
A mixture of the Colombard and Ugni Blanc grape varieties, this has flavours of apples, pears and citrus fruit.
Plot 22 Red Tempranillo/Shiraz 2013, Spain
Juicy Tempranillo fruit backed up by the heavier Shiraz gives a fruity and delightful medium bodied blend.
Condorito Merlot 2013, Chile
Ripe, rounded plum fruit with a hint of spice combine to produce a really tasty wine that’s a great partner for most meat dishes.
