OXFORD MAGISTRATES' COURT
- Sheldon Gallacher, 19, of Stowford Road, Barton, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made on June 19 by Oxford Magistrates’ Court for two counts of assault. He was given a 12-week detention sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a six-week curfew and supervision for 12 months because of repeated breaches of his community order.
- Delroy Thomas, 35, of Divinity Road, Oxford, admitted possessing 0.76g of diamorphine, a class A drug, in Divinity Road on November 12. He was fined £110 and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20 and £50 in costs.
- Richard Kippax, 38, of Letcombe Regis, Wantage, admitted sending an electronic message that was grossly offensive or of an obscene or menacing character at Century Close, Faringdon in August. He was given a seven-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £15 and £85 in costs.
- Simon White, 35, of Moorbank, Oxford, admitted stealing aftershaves and perfumes worth £729.50 from Boots, in High Street, Thame, on September 7. He also admitted stealing sunglasses worth £200 from Boots in Broadway, Didcot, on September 18, and stealing perfume worth £160 from Lloyds Pharmacy, in Market Place, Wantage, on September 30. He also admitted stealing perfume worth £120 from the same store on October 15, and stealing makeup worth £773.04 from Superdrug, in High Street, Thame, on October 19. He admitted stealing children’s toys from KP Stationers, in Market Place, Wallingford, on October 27, stealing champagne worth £81.99 from Co-Op store, in High Street, Dorchester, on October 29, and two sets of pyjamas and a gilet worth £51 from Next, in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on December 3. He admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, in Abingdon on October 31. He was sent to prison for a total of 34 weeks and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £80.
- David Bowley, 25, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted begging in Broad Street, Oxford on December 10 while on conditional discharge for the same offence. He was fined £50 and told to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20.

- Ahmed Attia, 38, of Park End Street, Oxford, was convicted of driving without a valid licence on Barns Road, Oxford on September 11. His licence expired on May 31. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £51.25 and £90 in costs.
- Samuel Dawes, 20, of Cotswold Crescent, Chipping Norton, was convicted of driving without insurance in Stevenage on June 17. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20 and £110 in costs.
- Paul Allcock, 45, of Park View Road, Witney, admitted using a television without a licence on July 10. He was fined £100 and told to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20 and £120 in costs.
- Reid Harris, 31, of Cress Hill Place, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, in Cuddesdon Way, Oxford on March 19. He was fined £50 and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20 and £30 in costs.
- Richard Hurworth, 47,of Oxford Road, Oxford, admitted causing criminal damage to a light fitting and two china mugs worth £36 at the Emmaus Community, in Oxford, on December 21. He also admitted common assault in Oxford Road, Oxford on the same day. He was fined £110 and ordered to pay £36 in compensation and a victims’ surcharge of £20.
- John Chaisty, 53, of Blackthorn Road, Didcot, admitted assault by beating at Blackthorn Road, Didcot on November 6. He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and to pay a victims’ surcharge of £60 as well as £85 in costs.
