A MAN has died following a three-car collision on the A420.
The 25-year-old man died at the John Radcliffe Hospital last night from his injuries in the crash, which happened at Littleworth near Buckland, Faringdon.
The collision happened at about 5.40pm yesterday and involved a blue BMW, a lorry and a white Ford Transit van.
The man, who was the driver of the van, was taken from the scene to the John Radcliffe where he later died.
His next of kin have been informed.
Both lanes of the A420 between Kingston Bagpuize and Faringdon were shut after the crash.
The road was closed in both directions until around 11.30pm.
Officers reported three miles of queuing traffic past the scene and slow traffic through Hatford.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to help free the driver of the van, a spokeswoman said.
Fire crews were sent from Faringdon and Abingdon, with specialist rescue teams also sent from Kidlington and Didcot, the service added.
Buses were diverted around the scene as emergency services dealt with the crash.
