Oxford Brookes University has been handed £150,000 to help encourage more young people into higher education.
It is part of Higher Education Funding Council for England’s (HEFCE) National Networks for Collaborative Outreach (NNCO) scheme, which encourages schools, universities and colleges to work together to promote higher education.
Brookes has been chosen as the lead institution for the Oxfordshire network.
The university will help teachers and pupils at state schools and colleges find out more about higher education and university applications.
Brookes director of UK recruitment Alice Wilby said: “We are delighted to be the lead organisation for our local network.”
