He is reported as saying that he works 18 hours a day, six days a week.
Really Mr Rose? That means you spend 108 hours of the 168 hours in a week toiling on our behalf.
As a mere mortal I can only imagine such dedication to public service ad it it was humanly and physically possible then perhaps an increase in your remuneration would be justified.

However, politicians (central or local) should not be treating themselves as special cases in these days of public wage restraint.
This is yet another example of we are not all in this together. Only some of us.
