The Plain roadworks are going to cause misery for motorists, local businesses and residents and, according to seasoned cyclists I know, there is nothing wrong with the roundabout as it is.
The county council insists it will make The Plain safer for cyclists.
I have lived at The Plain for 17 years and as far as I know there has only been one accident and it wasn’t fatal.
I cross a pelican crossing everyday close to The Plain.
Motorists always stop but cyclists don’t; so why throw a million pounds at a project when it is the actions of the cyclists that are at fault not the layout of the road.
