ALTHOUGH it wasn’t ours originally, Oxfordshire boasts Pooh Sticks as one of its quirkiest traditions.
The annual competition has been held at Day’s Lock in Little Wittenham for more than 30 years, attracting hundreds of competitors from across the world.
But sadly it has been a victim of its own success and needs a new home to accommodate the number of people who turn up to take part and watch.
There’s clearly a huge interest in the ‘sport’ and as such would be a shame to see it leave the county.
So let’s hope organisers can find a new home and it can continue for years to come.
