THE Bicester depot of collapsed parcel delivery company City Link has retained four employees while the company’s operations are finalised.
A spokesman for administrators Ernst & Young said yesterday was the last day all City Link depots around the UK were open to the public to collect their parcels.
The administrators made 24 staff at the Bicester depot redundant on December 31, 2014, when a total of 2,356 employees were axed at the stricken firm.
A total of 371 employees were kept on nationally to help wind down operations.

The Coventry-based company stopped accepting new parcels on Christmas Eve.
City Link was placed into administration after ongoing losses made it unviable to continue as a going concern. Ernst & Young said although a consortium had made an offer, under the proposal there was no money up-front and the company’s assets were undervalued.
The administrator has sold £1.125m worth of City Link’s assets to rival firm DX Group.
DX said on Tuesday it had purchased assets including parcel scanning equipment, cages, and some intellectual property.
