A MERCEDES driver punched a cyclist in the head during a row, police said.
Thames Valley Police said the assault happened on New Year’s Day in Honeybottom Lane, between Cothill near Abingdon and Boars Hill.
A 47-year-old man was cycling along the lane when he got into a argument with the driver of a silver Mercedes E Class.
The driver punched the cyclist in head, causing bruising to the cheek and a split ear.
The offender was described 6ft tall, with a dark beard and was wearing a grey hooded top and two looped earrings in his left ear.
Police did not release information about the assault until today.
