A CCTV image has been released after a girl bit a man on a bus, police said.
Thames Valley Police is trying to identify the girl in the image but did not release information about the assault, which happened on Sunday, November 16, until today.
According to the force, a man was attacked at about 9.40pm on the 2A Stagecoach bus from Oxford to Kidlington.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Charlotte Redman said police released the information about the assault once they obtained the CCTV footage.
She added that the girl got on the bus in Oxford city centre and assaulted a 38-year-old man when the bus was in Banbury Road.
The attacker was described as white, 5ft 2ins tall, slim and in her mid teens. She had a pale complexion and dark shoulder length hair, which was tied up and had red highlights, police added.
She was said to be wearing a dark jacket and dark bottoms and was holding a bag.
The victim suffered two puncture marks from a bite to his right arm, swelling from a bite to his left arm, and a cut to his nose.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, the spokeswoman added.
