Drivers have been facing queues due to roadworks in the London Road area of Headington this morning.
Two sets of works are under way on the road after work on phase one was delayed.
Resurfacing and road widening work from Thornhill Park and Ride to Green Road roundabout has been delayed after underground cables had to be relocated.
Phase two of the scheme began today, which will see the road resurfaced from the junction with Wharton Road to the junction with Northfield Road.
Traffic has been queuing on the A40 between the Thornhill park-and-ride and the Green Road roundabout.
