AN elderly man has died following a road accident involving a car and a lorry near Waterstock last night.
At about 6.10pm, two vehicles were involved in the collision on the A418 Oxford Road.
Thames Valley Police spokesman Connie Primmer said an HGV pulled out of the nearside lay-by on the Thame-bound carriageway and was involved in a collision with a green Ford Focus, which was travelling along the A418 towards Thame.
She added that the driver of the Ford Focus, an 81-year-old man from Thame, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he later died.
His next of kin have been informed.
Anyone with information regarding the collision should call the Thames Valley Police enquiry line 101.
