A GROUP of New Fathers 4 Justice campaigners has said it will run a candidate against David Cameron in the General Election in May.

The protesters were camped out in Mr Cameron’s home village of Dean, near Charlbury, from December 12 until Friday.

They were originally outside the Prime Minister and Witney MP’s home at The Barn Cottage before police issued the group with a harassment order on Tuesday, December 30.

They then moved to a designated protest area in the northern end of the village.

A spokesman for the group said: “All we wanted was for David Cameron to explain why he broke his promise in 2010 to give fathers a presumption of contact after family breakdown and why we need secret family courts in the UK.

“We heard nothing from either him or his office.

“We will return to Dean in March and we intend to field a candidate against David Cameron in the General Election to remind him of yet another broken promise.”
