A 16-year-old boy was assaulted while waiting for a bus in New Road in Oxford.
The boy was attacked between 6pm and 6.20pm on Saturday, December 13 at the bus stop outside the Oxford Castle complex.
Thames Valley Police, which is appealing for information, did not release details of the assault until today.
The victim was waiting at the bus stop with friends when he was approached by a group of two boys and a girl, who were in their late teens.
One of the boys spat at the victim before headbutting him to the side of the face, police said.
He did not require hospital treatment.
