I WAS absolutely astonished to read in the Oxford Mail (December 30) that the South Central Ambulance Service was considering extending ambulance target times.
I have needed, and benefitted from, sub-eight minute response times on two occasions and feel it is disgraceful that senior executives would even consider such a proposal.
In the real world they would be tasked with achieving targets, not extending them which will inevitably lead to longer response times.
