A GROUP of ramblers has walked more than 80 miles across Oxfordshire during their 12 Days of Christmas walk series, which ends tomorrow.
Organiser James Tipping said: “We’ve been doing it for the last seven years or so.
“For 12 days across Christmas – including Christmas Day – we go for a good walk around Oxfordshire with a pub lunch. They’re usually between seven and 10 miles every day.”
This year more than 300 members of the Banbury and North Oxfordshire Ramblers group took part, with 22 people braving the cold on Christmas Day.
Mr Tipping, from Banbury, said: “I’m a very active person, I used to go out running over the Christmas holidays just to fight off the inevitable food and drink.
“I can’t run any more so this has replaced that. It’s wonderful.
“This year we’ve had a lot of crisp frosty mornings.”
