AN exhibition depicting the vibrant and varied world of Oxfordshire printmaking will end tomorrow at the North Wall Gallery, in South Parade.
The exhibition features works from the Oxford Printmakers Co-operative, formed in 1976 by a group of ex-Ruskin School of Drawing students in Oxford.
Niamh Watson, 24, front of house assistant at the North Wall Arts Centre, said: “I think the exhibition is important because we have such a variety of beautiful pieces.
“A lot of people, myself included, don’t really know the art of printmaking and the different skills needed.
“It gives you a greater appreciation of this type of art form.”
The Oxford Printmakers exhibition is made up of current members of the co-operative, and includes collagraphs, etching, monoprints, screenprinting and relief printmaking.
Admission to the exhibition is free and is open to the public today and tomorrow between noon and 9pm.
The show will be replaced on Wednesday with pieces made by art students at the Ruskin School of Art.
