A GROUP of New Fathers 4 Justice campaigners banned from protesting outside David Cameron’s home have said they will not be deterred by police.

The protesters have been camped-out in Dean since December 23 and were issued with a harrasment order by police on Tuesday.

They were originally camped outside Mr Cameron’s home at The Barn Cottage, but after being issued with the order they moved to a designated protest area in the northern end of Dean. Protester James Dennis said: “We are still down here, we have not been put off by the harassment order. We are going to be defiant and we are going to be here until tomorrow.”

New Fathers 4 Justice campaigns for equal rights for fathers in divorce and separation proceedings and reform of the family courts.

Protester Bobby Smith, 32, said: “We have been protesting within the law, we haven’t been using a loud-hailer and were within our rights to be there.”

He claimed that when the PM was approached by the group last Sunday, he said: “Not you again. You’re spoiling my Christmas.”

Mr Smith, an HGV driver from Waltham Cross, also claimed that Mr Cameron gestured to them behind one of the windows of his family home.

Mr Cameron’s constituency office did not respond to our requests for comment.
