AFTER feasting over Christmas, these brave ramblers took to the windy wilds of West Oxfordshire to walk off their extra pounds.
In an annual post-Christmas tradition, Oxfordshire members of The Ramblers took a scenic walk around the Costwolds village of Great Tew on Monday.
Wrapped in warm winter clothes, they assembled at the traditional meeting place, the village car park, at 10.15am and rambled off over the rolling hills.
Organiser Don Manley, a crossword compiler from North Oxford said: “It’s an annual tradition to get some post-seasonal exercise.

“This walk takes a nice route over some fields, down some lanes, and it’s all against the scenic background of the Cotswolds.
“Then there is a little church where you can stop and have a coffee halfway.”
He said the four-mile route was a good way to “break-in” sleepy muscles after Christmas. The group meets up each week throughout the year, normally on a Wednesday.
Non-members are welcome to join but Mr Manley said if they come on more than three walks they are invited to pay the membership fee.
