A CAR has reportedly caught fire on the M40 southbound between Oxford and Thame.
The blaze is believed to be between junction seven and junction eight but both Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service and the Highways Agency said they had not received any calls about the incident.
In Oxford heavy traffic is causing delays to buses in the city.
Oxford Bus Company said all city services have been hit by delays of up to 30 minues.
The number four service is suffering long delays due to heavy traffic on Botley Road and the number three service is terminating in the city centre rather than at the train station due to congestion.
There is currently very heavy traffic on Banbury Road, Cowley Road, London Road and the A4142.
SERVICE UPDATE we are experiencing very heavy traffic in the Oxford City Centre area. Expect long delays on all services. Apologies.
