Sir – I thought that Nicola Blackwood’s Shop Small campaigh was a great idea.
I was disturbed to read in the small print on the leaflet that the nominator’s data will be retained by the Conservative Party and used for them to make contact by any other means.
If it had really been a cause for the community and not a data collection ruse for their new digital canvas database (VoteSource) there would have been a box to tick if I did not wish to be contacted in the future.
This seem to me to be a bad case of inertia marketing.
