An investigation is being carried out after a Mini Plant worker was seriously injured at the factory.
Mini spokeswoman Rebecca Baxter said a man employed by one of the Cowley plant’s on-site contractors was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital on Tuesday. She added: “The man is currently in hospital. An internal investigation is under way and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed. It would be inappropriate to discuss details of the incident while an investigation is ongoing.”
A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 12.09pm to reports of an industrial accident.
“We treated a male patient who was taken to the John Radcliffe with serious injuries.”
