A MEETING will be held today to discuss how the Conservatives will select a candidate to fight the Banbury seat at next year's General Election, when Sir Tony Baldry MP stands down.
Sir Tony announced earlier this month he would be stepping down as the Banbury MP at the next General Election after more than 30 years in Parliament.
The North Oxfordshire Conservative Association executive will meet today to agree an approach for selecting a new prospective parliamentary candidate.
A candidate is expected to be appointed by the end of the year.
