Environment Agency officers yesterday cleared overgrown plants, trees and litter from streams in the west of the city.
The team started at Seacourt Stream before moving on to Bullstake Stream and clearing a tree at the bottom of Duke Street.
Last week the Environment Agency said it did not have enough money to dredge and widen all the city’s rivers and streams to prevent flooding in the future.
