Plans have been submitted for the redevelopment of one of Oxford’s tower blocks.
Oxford City Council is planning to spend £15m upgrading its five high-rise homes over the next few years.
A planning application has now been submitted for Evenlode Tower in Blackbird Leys – the first one to be submitted by the city council. It will include recladding the building, replacing the insulation and windows, installing a sprinkler system, refurbishing the lifts and building a front extension to form a new lobby.
A decision will be made by a committee of city councillors at a date yet to be set.
