FAMILIES were given a history lesson about where they came from last weekend.
About 370 people turned out at the annual Oxfordshire Family History Fair at The Marlborough School in Woodstock on Saturday.
They were given information about ancestors and had DNA swabs taken to find out where their roots were based.
Organiser Jenny Lee said: “People like to know about where they came from, what their ancestors did and who they were.
“Sometimes they find photographs with people in who they have no idea who they are. It’s like being a detective – it’s quite exciting.”
