SUPERMARKET staff and customers in Kidlington took part in a fundraising campaign over the weekend to raise money for life-saving medical equipment.
The Midcounties Co-operative supermarket in High Street ran a tombola and collected donations from shoppers from Friday until yesterday to raise money to buy a defibrillator to be installed in the store.
The machine can be operated by anyone and delivers an electric shock to restart a normal rhythm in the heart of someone who has suffered a cardiac arrest.
Staff had yet to work out how much they had raised when the Oxford Mail went to press.
