FIREFIGHTERS rescued an elderly woman trapped between a car and a kerb in Witney.
The woman, in her 80s, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital on Thursday after a collision with a vehicle.
Welch Way was closed for about two hours from 4.30pm as firefighters removed the car to free the woman.
Paramedics treated her at the scene for non-life threatening head injuries.
The road was closed off between A4095 Tower Hill, A415 Ducklington Lane, Corn Street and High Street until 6.10pm.

The air ambulance attended and was seen leaving at about 6.20pm.
Police last night had no update on the woman’s condition or what had happened to the driver of the vehicle.
The incident caused a stir on social media.
Witney town councillor David Snow tweeted: “What can possibly be happening in Welch Way, Witney to require it to be closed off with 3 police cars and a fire engine!!??”
Robert Simpson wrote: “Witney traffic in chaos right now.
“Multiple police cars, ambulances and fire engines at junction of Corn St/Welch Way.
“Helicopter in the air.”
