FOUR homes in Charlbury were burgled after keys were taken from outdoor safes.
Thieves broke into the properties in the Playing Close between 8pm on Monday and 7am on Tuesday.
They stole cash and electrical items from each home, before driving away in a Toyota Auris stolen from one home.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
The Playing Close, in Pooles Lane, was built in 1999 by the Beechroft Trust for people aged over 60.
It includes 14 two- and three-bedroom cottages and two apartments.
