I WAS about to buy a book from Waterstones in Witney. All went well until I was offered a discount card by the store on condition that I gave an email address.
When I informed the assistant that I was not on the internet I was told I could not have a discount.
Discrimination in the extreme. Needless to say the shop didn’t make a sale to me that day.
