Teachers from Headington School have been close to the mass pro-democracy protest in Hong Kong while out on a visit.
The school sent a group of senior staff – including headteacher Caroline Jordan – to meet with parents of current pupils and former students.
The group, which was due to fly back yesterday, went on the trip as the school has strong links with the region as it was one of the first in Britain to welcome Hong Kong students in the 1960s.
