- James Goddard, 23, of Chetwode, Banbury, admitted possessing cocaine at the Wheatsheaf pub, George Street, Banbury on July 11. Fined £150 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Amraz Hussain, 30, of Cromwell Road, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Canal Street, Banbury, on August 28. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Martin McMahon, 40, of Fern Hill Road, Oxford, admitted drink driving on the A34 at Weston-on-the-Green, near Bicester, on September 4. Had 54 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the 35mg legal limit. Fined £250 and ordered to pay a £25 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.
- Annie Newton, 18, of Mawle Court, Banbury, admitted stealing £16.50 worth of food from Banbury Tesco on September 10 while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge for eight counts of theft imposed at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on August 29. Fined £50 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
- Mickey Homewood, 21, of Danesmoor, Banbury, admitted assaulting a man by beating him in Banbury on July 8. Ordered to do 60 hours’ unpaid work in the next year and pay £70 compensation, £85 costs and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
- Jessica Tustain, 22, of Howard Road, Banbury, admitted stealing £28.13 worth of chilled fish from Morrisons in Swan Close, Banbury, on September 4. Also admitted assaulting two men by beating them at Swan Close on the same date. Given a six-week suspended prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to take drug dependency treatment for six months. Also ordered to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge, £40 costs and £80 compensation.
- Kim Leonard, 51, of Sanderling Close, Bicester, admitted speeding at 52mph in a 30mph zone in Middleton Stoney Road, Bicester, on March 9. Fined £245 and ordered to pay a £25 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six penalty points.
- Darren James, 33, of Tithe Court, Banbury, admitted producing a controlled drug of Class B, cannabis, in Tithe Court, Banbury, on August 23. Community order made with electronic curfew requirement. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
OXFORD MAGISTRATES
- Scott Alexander, 29, of Danesmoor, Banbury, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Banbury on August 24. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £80 costs.
- Kelly Cole, 21, of Robsart Place, Cumnor, admitted drink-driving in Eaton Road, Appleton, on July 27. Had 164 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80 micrograms. Fined £210 and told to pay a £21 victims’ surcharge and £80 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.
- Mark Paterson, 23, of Sunderland Avenue, Oxford, admitted criminal damage to mixed groceries and shelving to the value of £103.87 belonging to BP Garage in Oxford on August 15. Community order made and told to do 200 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months. Told to pay £133.87 compensation and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
- Liam Youngson, 19, of Coltsfoot Square, Oxford, admitted shoplifting four bottles of Courvoisier from Tesco in Oxford Retail Park on May 7. Fined £40 and told to pay £40 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £20 costs.
- Emma Burgess, 43, of College Close, Cholsey, admitted failing to promptly notify South Oxfordshire District Council of a change in circumstances which she knew would have affected her entitlement to housing benefit in Benson between October 7 and March 31. Also admitted failing to promptly notify South Oxfordshire District Council of a change in circumstances which she knew would have affected her entitlement to council tax reduction between July 1, 2013, and March 31 this year. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £200 costs.
- Matthew Morris, 36, of Vineyard, Abingdon, admitted shoplifting meat worth £81.65 from Co-op in West St Helen Street, Abingdon, on May 30. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £81.65 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.
- Malcolm Prior, 64, of Eastfields, Blewbury, admitted failing to declare savings to Vale of White Horse District Council to get housing and council tax benefit on February 18, 2010, and June 28, 2012. Also failed to declare savings to get pension credit on June 28 and to get council tax reduction between April 1 and November 25 last year. Community order made and told to do 100 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £500 costs.
- Filip Lindovsky, 26, of York Avenue, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in London Road, Headington, on August 31. Had 83 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £400 and told to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 19 months.
- Byron Taylor, 27, of Cornmarket, Thame, admitted possession of Class A drug cocaine in Rooks Lane, Thame, on July 19. Fined £300 and told to pay a £30 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- John Hudson, 41, of Grebe Close, Abingdon, admitted possession of Class B drug cannabis in Abingdon on May 17. Fined £80 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
- Caroline Walls, 38, of Linnet Close, Oxford, admitted shoplifting nine bottles of spirits worth £326 from Waitrose in Abbey Close, Abingdon, on September 13. Also stole 11 bottles of spirits worth £407.50 from the same store on September 17. Sentenced to eight months in prison.
- James Adams, 19, of Fettiplace Road, Oxford, admitted possessing 0.11g of MDMA, a Class A drug, in Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford, on June 7. Fined £150 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
