Was cost the reason for the lack on an exit poll?
CONGRATULATIONS to the canny – if that is not too “racist” – Scots on opting to remain in the UK.
As those in favour of secession put up a brave fight and, in the final week, the wind up their adversaries, perhaps we should grant, as a consolation prize, the yes – voting city of Glasgow independent and have done with it.
On a more serious note, was cost the real reason for the lack of an exit poll, especially given the fact that the decision must have been taken at a time when the outcome of the referendum seemed a foregone conclusion?
