Bridge fall man is still critically ill in hospital
A man was last night still fighting for his life in hospital after falling from a bridge and colliding with a vehicle.
The man fell from the Littlemore bridge, between Heyford Hill and the Sandford-on-Thames turn-off on to the southbound A4074 at about 2pm on Monday.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Rhianne Pope said yesterday he was still at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital in a critical condition. It is not clear if he was hit by a car after falling on to the road or if he landed on the vehicle.
