WORK to complete the first phase of transport improvements in Witney will begin next week.
Ducklington Lane will be resurfaced over three weeks, starting on Monday.
It is the final stage of a £2.5m Oxfordshire County Council scheme to build a new traffic signal-controlled junction between Ducklington Lane and Station Lane.
The work, which started in April, is part of the county council’s Witney Area Transport Strategy.

It also includes building new junctions on the A40 at Downs Road and Shores Green. Work will be carried out in phases from the A40 roundabout to the Station Lane junction, between 8pm and 6am from Monday to Friday.
Diversions will be in place, using the A40, A415, B4047, A4095 and B4022.
The council’s cabinet member for transport, David Nimmo Smith, said: “This important work will provide greater traffic flow in and out of Witney, as well as improving safety for pedestrians and cyclists. I am pleased that we are moving into the final phases of work on this scheme.”
