HUNDREDS of homes in West Oxfordshire are without power after overhead electricity lines collapsed.
Some 327 properties in Freeland, near Witney, were cut off at about 7am.
Engineers restored power to more than 100 homes but the remaining properties are expected to be without power until about 4pm.
Another 30 homes in Freeland, South Leigh, Barnard Gate and Eynsham already affected this morning could lose power again if engineers find a second fault.
An SSE spokeswoman said a vehicle will be in Broadmarsh Lane, Freeland, from about 12.30pm equipped with utilities including a microwave, kettle and phone charger.
She added: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
