SHE has starred on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent and BBC’s So You Think You Can Dance but now burlesque performer Fabia Cerra has gone one step further.
The 40-year-old from Centaury Place, Greater Leys, Oxford, was crowned Miss Pin-up UK at a ceremony in London.
The competition judges women who like to dress in the classic pin-up style.
In Saturday’s final, she answered the judges’ questions and performed a burlesque routine which, she said, “really had the crowd going and the judges on their feet”.
Miss Cerra, who is a size UK 18-20, told the Oxford Mail: “The results were on Saturday evening. I was so thrilled to be in the finals of Miss Pin-up UK. I was just happy to go home with a sash.
“When they announced me as Miss Pin-up UK 2014, I broke down on stage. I had achieved my mission to prove that being a plus-size buxom woman can be accepted as Miss Pin-up UK.”
