IT was a dog’s life at Millets Farm Centre, Frilford, on Saturday as more than 400 pooches and their owners turned up for the second Millets dog show.
Man’s best friend competed for a range of prizes, including most handsome dog, prettiest bitch and best movement.
In the afternoon there was fun and games with musical sit and the dog with the waggiest tale competition.
Chrissie Henderson, from Hampshire, and her cockapoo, Barney, saw off the competition to claim first place in musical sit.
She said: “I’m absolutely ecstatic. It’s his first time in a dog show.
“My parents live in Witney so my mum suggested we come down.
“It has been an amazing day. It has been brilliant.”
Organiser Suzanna Turley said: “It was a big success.
“We have had people in fancy dress coming and amazing things like that. And it is for a good cause, which is fantastic.”
The event supported the Guide Dogs charity, which helps provide training for guide dogs across the UK.
