VISITORS to Oxford Castle over the next month will be watching out for things that go bump in the night.
Oxford Castle Unlocked has organised a whole host of terrifying events to mark the approach of Halloween.
There will be overnight tours of the Norman castle every Tuesday as well as murder mystery evenings as part of the event dubbed Ghost Fest, which starts on Wednesday and runs throughout October and November.
Tour guide Charly Roberts, 18, said: “We are doing a lot of different events in the run-up to Halloween and it is going to be really quite scary.”
During its long life, the castle has been used as a military fort, and as a centre for the administration of the county and a prison.
